ASTM A517 Grade E steel plate is a pressure vessel with quenched and tempered high strength alloy steel plate.ASTM A517 Grade E steel plate is heat treated by the material production plant,the ASTM A517 Grade E steel plate is heated to a temperature of not lower than 1650℉ (900°C), quenched in water or oil, followed by tempering at a temperature of not less than 1150℉(620°C)

ASTM A517 has six levels: A, B, E, F, J , P. ASTM A517 Grade E needs to be done with (Quenching + Tempering ) heat-treatment to meet the property requirement under standard ASTM A517.ASTM A517 Grade E steel plate is widely used in the fabrication of boiler and pressure vessel,such as petroleum,chemical,gas industry and power plants.
